Are you suffering from Seasonal Allergies?
Managing Seasonal Eye Allergies: Tips for Relief
As spring arrives, blooming trees and flowers bring an increase in pollen levels—often triggering seasonal allergy symptoms. If you're experiencing itching, tearing, or redness of the eyes and have already tried over-the-counter antihistamines such as Claritin, Zyrtec, or Xyzal with limited relief, consider the following additional measures:
Keep windows closed during the day to reduce indoor pollen exposure.
Use an air purifier to help filter airborne allergens.
Rinse your eyes with a sterile eyewash to flush out irritants.
Gently wipe your eyelids with a warm, damp towel to remove pollen residue, which can be particularly sticky.
Try over-the-counter antihistamine eye drops such as ketotifen, Zaditor, Alaway, Pataday, or Lastacaft for targeted relief.
Consult your eye care provider about prescription mast cell stabilizer eye drops if symptoms persist.
